The college campus is primarily the space for students to learn, socialize and play, and their wellbeing is treated as a priority in this college. Sexual harassment is a human rights violation and will be treated sensitively. Not just female students, male students may also face sexual harassment. Considering this, UGC has directed that students of all genders can complain if they face sexual harassment at colleges and Universities in the country.

The administrators of Karnatak Science College Dharwad are committed to provide a congenial atmosphere for students, teachers and administrative staff to study and work together. This implies that they study and work in an environment free of violence, harassment, exploitation, discrimination and intimidation. Every member of the institution is expected to be aware of their commitment to the right to freedom of expression and association with other members, and the administrators of the college strongly supports gender equality and opposes any form of gender discrimination and violence. Any student or faculty member facing sexual harassment can meet or contact any one of the members of the Cell for Prevention of Sexual Harassment, to complain about the same.
