ABOUT THE COLLEGE

In Sanskrit, we find the definition of vidya, "Saa vidya ya vimuktaye". That is knowledge.Our college is a place to enrich and expand the horizon of knowledge of both teachers and students.

Karnatak Science College is located in the heart of city so that all the students and faculty can reach the college and attend the classes on time helping the academic process.Calm and peaceful vast area of the college provides students a friendly habitat to study.Students of PUC section getting trained under NCC, NSS, and also participated in intercollegiate sports ,cultural activities colorfully conducted annually.

The college mainly focuses on Value based higher education for merit and poor economic background students.The campus is motivating PUC students towards research and higher education as it is enriched with Ug Pg research students in various specialisations.

PUC Section plays a major role in the lives of students,especially in the beginning when they get help to organize their studying and settling in the feeling of "identity" to every student. To be identified as " Karnatak science college student " itself is a proud feeling for all students as they express.

Our College has various hostel facilities in and outside the campus for both boys and girls at reachable minimum charges in the view of economically poor students. Professors from various departments are incharge of hostel as warden so the students feel secured and freely study in a friendly environment.

Our College has one of the well stacked libraries in Dharwad. Karnatak science college has a sufficient collection of books written by different authors which are helpful to the students. Our library is also equipped with completive reference books for the benefit of the students. 24×7 reading room facility is provided to the students so that students can study peacefully in any time of the day.

Senior Assistant. He is allotted B.Sc. III & IV Semester Admission work, in addition to other office work.

Junior Assistant. She is allotted work in the Scholarship Section, in addition to preparations of TA/GF/ Salary bills, in addition to all other office work allotted by the O.S from time to time.
